Dr. Jhunu Mohapatra is the Assistant Principal of Instruction at Jackson Middle School. Prior to
being an administrator she taught Mathematics for 14 years in middle schools and High schools.
She has a B.A. in Economics from Utkal University, India. She received her M.A in Math Education
and Doctorate in Educational leadership from University of Central Florida.
This is her 4th year at Jackson.

Dr. Christopher Benedetti - Assistant Principal

Dr. Christopher Benedetti serves as assistant principal and  7th grade administrator at
Jackson Middle School.  Dr. Benedetti has taught language arts and math in middle school
and has served as an administrator at both the elementary and middle school levels.  Dr. Benedetti
holds a B.S. in English Education from Florida State University, an M.S. in Educational Leadership
from Nova Southeastern University, and a Ph.D. in Leadership and Education from Barry University.

Bill Charlton is in his 20th year with OCPS.  Mr. Charlton has taught social studies gifted
education classes in middle school, AP and IB courses in high school. Mr. Charlton graduated
in 1986 from Kansas State University with a BS in Secondary Education, Social Studies and
earned a masters degree in Gifted Education from the University of South Florida in 1999.  He is
currently pursuing a specialist's degree in Educational Leadership. Mr. Charlton is the 6th grade
Academic Dean here at JMS.

Ms. Nelly Morales - Administrative Assistant

Ms. Nelly Morales is the School Secretary at Jackson Middle School. She has been with OCPS
for 17 years and previously worked at Little River and Chickasaw Elementary.  Ms. Morales attended
Lorain Business College in Ohio. She has been “Support Person of the Year” in both Chickasaw Elementary
and Jackson Middle.  This is her 5th year at Jackson Middle.
